The 17th edition of the European Economic Congress, Central Europe’s largest business conference, happens from 23 to 25 April, 2025, in the International Congress Centre in Katowice.

Within the context of the Transform4Europe Alliance, Francisco Mendes-Palma will be participating as a speaker in the panel: “International relations of Polish science”, on 25 April, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Cornelius Hagenmeier, Board Member at the EURECA-PRO European University Consortium, Piotr Moncarz, Professor at Uniwersytet Stanforda, Paweł Śniatała, from the Poznań University of Technology, Andrzej Szeptycki Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Poland and Marek Pawełczyk, Vice-Rector at the Silesian University of Technology are also speakers in this session.

Wojciech Dyduch, Vice-Rector at the University of Economics in Katowice, will moderate the panel focusing on the impact on the quality of education and research and the strengthening the potential of Polish science and higher education through international exchange and cooperation.

The debate will also explore the effectiveness and examples of programmes aimed at Polish and foreign researchers, students and universities and scientific institutions, but also trends, benefits, problems of Foreign students at Polish universities and of Polish students abroad.

Experiences of leaders in the internationalisation of higher education and the promotion of Polish science abroad will also be discussed in this session.
