Synopsis:

Cinema is one of the most impactful forms of expression and artistic experience for children and young people. The strength of audiovisual media in contemporary life highlights the importance of the seventh art in developing a critical look and thinking about images and sounds. Several ongoing programs and projects promote film education, inside and outside schools, between enjoyment and practice, but not always with the capacity to include all communities or break down different geographic, cultural, or social barriers. This session will start with the educational relevance of cinema and arrive at various proposals for integrating cinema into education, aimed above all at this fundamental safeguard of inclusion and variety. This session will address perspectives and ongoing programs that promote inclusion and diversity in film education.
