Free Course "Topics of Epistemology of the Common Home in Interdisciplinary Perspective"
Wednesday, March 31, 2021 - 14:30
Online
In cooperation with the School of Education and Humanities/Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (EEH PUC PR) and the Center for Research in Theology and Studies of Religion (CITER), CADOS - Católica Doctoral School is launching a free online course entitled "Topics of Epistemology of the Common House in Interdisciplinary Perspective".
"Common Home" is an expression shared between the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Encyclical Letter Laudato si '(Ls) on the care of the Common Home. The new scenario of COVID-19 and the humanitarian crisis further demands the adoption of a public agenda for a collective political and social effort that overcomes the cultural contradictions of economic determinism and demands shared responsibility supported by a culture of solidarity. At times like these, religions have great potential for empathy and social cooperation, along with public agendas.
Objectives
To critically reflect on the epistemological foundations of the category Common Home in an interdisciplinary key, namely from Philosophy, Theology, Education, History and Human Rights, among other possible ones.
Articulate the symbolic efficacy of the category Common Home through the potential of cooperation and integration between critical sense and common sense.
Identify the emergence of epistemological models of the Common Home in the set of Human Sciences, from the exercise of projects of archeology of knowledge.
Analyze the different perspectives of the global agenda of the Common House, especially the specificities of the approaches in the Northern Hemisphere and in the Southern Hemisphere.
