Miguel Athayde Marques is vice-rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Professor of Business at Católica- Lisbon School of Business & Economics. As part of his academic duties, he taught at CEIBS – China Europe International Business School (Beijing, Shanghai) and other business schools, in MBA Programs. In business, he currently serves as Vice- Chairman of the Board of Galp Energia (oil & gas) and as independent board director of Brisa-CR (concessionaire of tolled highways). He is also member of the Monitoring Committee of Novo Banco. Formerly, Miguel Athayde Marques was Chairman and CEO of the Portuguese Stock Exchange (Euronext Lisbon), and a member of the management committee of NYSE Euronext (New York Stock Exchange), and Euronext N.V. (Holland). Before that, he was executive board member of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (banking), and of Jerónimo Martins (international retail and distribution). He was also President of AICEP – the Portuguese Agency for Trade and Investment.
