Braga Regional Centre and Associação Empresarial de Braga unite to study the perception of Tourism

The Braga Regional Centre of the Universidade Católica and the Braga Business Association (AEB) announced their partnership to study the perception of Tourism, last 29 March, on the occasion of the Round Table "Paths to sustainability in Tourism: in Portugal and in the northern region".

The event, organised by the two entities at the Isidro Alves Auditorium of the University, was attended by Carla Cardoso, Coordinator of the Tourism course at the CRB, Luís Pedro Martins, President of Tourism of Porto and North of Portugal, Varico Pereira, Vice-President of the Confraria do Bom Jesus, and António Barroso, Deputy Mayor of Braga.

The session was also attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services and professor at the Universidade Católica, Nuno Fazenda.

In this context, Rui Marques, General Director of AEB and responsible for moderating the debate, announced the partnership between the institutions for the conduction of a study on the perception that Braga residents have about the impact of Tourism.

In the scope of the Tourism Bachelor Degree, the Braga Regional Centre has reinforced a more active learning, in order to encourage the participation of students in solving community problems.
