Católica joins GivingTuesday: meet 16 causes to support
The Universidade Católica Portuguesa once again joins GivingTuesday, a global solidarity movement that appeals to the world to unite in support of social causes.
Celebrated intentionally on the first Tuesday after Black Friday and fuelled by the power of social media and collaboration, GivingTuesday inspires millions of people around the world to give back to causes that are relevant to each one.
The goal is to create a wave of generosity that lasts beyond GivingTuesday and reaches every person on the planet under the motto "give to change".
Launched in 2012 in the United States of America, this movement was co-founded by the United Nations and 92StreetY. Today it is an autonomous organization, with the leadership support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This year, the Universidade Católica invites the academic community to support the projects of the partner organizations of the VIDA Project - Volunteering at Católica. Get to know each one of the projects and learn how you can collaborate:
ABLA – Associação de Beneficência Luso-Alemã
