Católica keeps activities in remote model until Easter
In a communication to the academic community, Isabel Capeloa Gil, Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, announced that the institution will maintain its activities in a remote model until Easter. This statement follows the extension of the State of Emergency that is in place in Portugal due to the evolution of the pandemic situation.
These conditions will be evaluated until the end of March, when new measures will be communicated for the period after Easter Sunday.
When addressing the context experienced in Portugal with the pandemic since last year, Isabel Capeloa Gil reinforced that UCP will continue to fulfil its mission to "create value for Portugal, creating and building Science and educating for the common good" in the exceptional situations we are currently experiencing.
Rector highlights year of great challenges for Católica
Addressing the academic community, the Rector of UCP also highlighted the "year of great challenges for Católica". This will be the year in which the new Strategic Development Plan will be approved, a collaborative plan that will integrate the initiatives proposed by the academic community. 2021 will also be the year in which the Católica Medical School will open its doors, this being a "transforming and aggregating challenge for Católica".
