CATÓLICA-LISBON launches new research centre PROSPER

The Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics inaugurated, on June 4, the new research centre in Economics, the Center of Economics for Prosperity (PROSPER). Alongside the launch of PROSPER, the study "Quem arcará com os custos da crise covid-19: Análise de empregos em risco em Portugal", prepared by Professor Joana Silva with Madalena Gaspar, Pedro Fernandes, Kamil Kouhen, and Martim Leitão, was presented.

The new research centre, directed by Professor Joana Silva, has three lines of research, these being "Employment, innovation and economic growth", "Health and education economy" and "Poverty, inequality and social impact".

PROSPER currently offers a section on "Analyses of the Portuguese Economy in times of COVID-19", gathering the research produced by CATÓLICA-LISBON on the challenges to the Portuguese economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
