Católica Porto Business School and University of San José (Macau) join forces for research in Neuromarketing
The director of Católica Porto Business School, Rui Sousa, and the director of the School of Business & Law at the University of São José (Macau), Jenny Lao-Philips, signed a protocol that allows a close articulation between the recently created "Laboratory of Applied Neurosciences" (LAN) at the University of São José and S.Lab. This agreement aims to create an extension in Porto of the services provided in Macau, namely to carry out experiments that help to understand the cognitive and emotional system of the human being, in its consumer side. In parallel, it will also help to promote basic and applied research in various fields, including marketing, economics, education and leadership.
Through this partnership, researchers Alexandre Lobo Marques and Susana Costa e Silva are already developing research in the area of marketing and consumer behaviour, using equipment such as Facial Expression Recognition & Emotions Classification, EDA/GSR - Galvanic Skin Response Devices & Software, HRV - Heart Rate Variability, Neurodata Smart Analytics & Multiple Webcam Eye Tracking Solutions and Eye Tracking Glasses.
