Católica Porto Business School organises four Summer Schools this July

During the month of July, Católica Porto Business School is organising four Summer Schools focused on topics such as Machine Learning, Deep Tech, Finance and Data Analysis. These short-term international programmes offer an opportunity for students and professionals to deepen their knowledge and apply concepts to real challenges.  

Deep Tech & Business Case Summer School (7 to 18 July) - Aimed at bachelor's and master's students interested in the intersection between technology and business strategy, this Summer School explores emerging trends and challenges in the sector. 

Porto Summer School in Machine Learning and Textual Analysis (21 to 25 July) - Aimed at PhD, Master's and final year undergraduate students with an interest in finance and accounting, this Summer School looks at the application of Machine Learning and NLP (Natural Language Processing) in the construction of financial models.  

Python Porto Summer School (21 to 25 July) - Aimed at master's and doctoral students with an interest in finance, it can also be attended by undergraduate finalists. The focus is on practical learning of Python applied to the financial context.  

Data Science and AI with KNIME: A Hands-on Approach Summer School (28 July to 1 August) - Designed for master's and doctoral students and professionals in quantitative science who want to develop skills in data analysis using the KNIME Analytics platform.  

Each programme is taught by professors and industry experts, providing a practical and interactive experience as well as the opportunity to network with professionals and students from different backgrounds.

Católica Porto Business School dominated the podium of the Porto Economy Award, an initiative promoted by Porto City Council, which annually recognises three academic dissertations on topics relevant to the city's economy. The award ceremony occurred on 3 April, at Porto City Hall, with the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, personally presenting the awards.
