Ciência-UCP Platform showcases research conducted by Católica
"Fill in and consult this tool, which is essential for Universidade Católica Portuguesa to increasingly assert itself as a research university."
The challenge was made by the Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in the public presentation session of the Ciência-UCP Portal that took place on December 15th.
At the session, Isabel Capeloa Gil said the portal "is an instrument that will allow not only to integrate the scientific performance of the University but also to give visibility to the individual work of each researcher, their research areas and specialities".
"The platform also allows the University to gather reliable data to measure how we position ourselves in the various fields of expertise," added the Rector of UCP.
Bruno Marçal, the coordinator of the library network, pointed out that "the Platform was introduced to the community in February and already has more than 16,500 publications", highlighting the "very wide range of tools that make this platform unique and unifying for the entire UCP community".
Another remarkable aspect of this platform, said the coordinator, is to allow "an interaction between the research developed at the university and the Sustainable Development Goals".
Also at the ceremony, Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, thanked the entire team led by Bruno Marçal for their commitment and highlighted several functionalities of the portal, which allows to systematically compile all information about research.
"Through this platform, we can get to know the projects and publications, many of them already in open access, and this will help us to increasingly become the university we aspire to be" added the Vice-Rector.
