Diurna. affirms itself as the National Student Newspaper of Católica

David Vaz and Francisca Santos, students from the Braga and Viseu Regional Centres of the Universidade Católica are the new members of the newspaper Diurna. With this expansion, Diurna, a newspaper founded by students from the Porto Regional Centre, now has representatives in all campi of the Universidade Católica and consolidates its position as the National Newspaper of the students of Católica.

For the representative of the Braga Regional Centre and student of the degree in Communication Sciences, David Vaz, "Diurna. is a revolutionary and innovative newspaper that breaks with the concept of traditional printed journalism". For which the new member states "I am proud to be able to work with a team that is dedicated, passionate and committed to giving a voice to all those who dare to write."

The student and his colleague from the Viseu Regional Centre thus join the project launched in 2020 by its founder and current national director, Nuno Brochado de Agarez.

The newspaper had already successfully completed its first major expansion to the headquarters of the University, in Lisbon, with two editorial teams, led by Maria Luís Gaspar, in Porto, and Catarina Andrade, in Lisbon.

Now, with the integration of David Vaz and Francisca Santos, the Jornal Diurna. solidifies its affirmation as the National Newspaper of the Students of the University and will launch its 1st truly national edition on 31st March. This will be the 10th publication in the three years of the history of the newspaper.
