Guide to good practice in online teaching for deaf students available in Portuguese Sign Language

In the context of online education in Portugal resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, it is relevant to provide and share guidance and support materials so that education is suitable for all children and teachers.

Following the construction of the Guide to support online teaching practices for deaf children by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and its availability in e-book format by the Directorate General for Education, it was translated into Portuguese Sign Language (LGP).

The version translated into LGP results from the collaborative work of the Language and Sign Language Research Lab (Lang-Lab) of the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde of UCP, together with a team of LGP interpreters: Tânia Lopes, Tânia Costa (Grouping of Schools Nº 2 of Beja), Rita Belicha and Vânia Lourenço.

This guide is a support tool for online teaching practices to deaf children and its content should be considered as guidance.
