ICS teacher and student integrate AECP's Palliative Care Task Force in Prisons

Prof. Manuel Luís Capelas, professor at ICS and member of the Board of the Portuguese Observatory of Palliative Care (OPCP), and the student of the Master in Palliative Care and researcher at OPCP, Carla Teves are part of the Task Force for Palliative Care in Prisons of the European Association of Palliative Care.

This Task Force aims to understand, in at least 5 countries, the conditions of palliative care available in prisons, as well as to develop an international network of professionals interested in palliative care for inmates from the largest number of European countries and others outside Europe.

This project is integrated in the activities of the Portuguese Observatory of Palliative Care. It began in Madrid in 2017 and has now grown to 80 members from 19 countries.

All the information about the project, including the component concerning Portugal, by the OPCP, is here.
