President of UCP meets with the Portuguese Ambassador to Angola

The President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), Isabel Capeloa Gil, met with the Portuguese Ambassador to Angola, Francisco Alegre Duarte, on 26 February.

The meeting emphasised the excellent relationship of cooperation between UCP and the Embassy, with the Ambassador valuing the investment in leading higher education institutions, which are essential for Angola's socio-economic development.

According to the Embassy, "the establishment of partnerships between Portuguese and Angolan higher education institutions, whether public or private, is absolutely crucial to this endeavour and to that extent has the support of Portuguese Cooperation, via Camões, I.P.".

Also present at the meeting were the Rector of the Catholic University of Angola, Sister Maria da Assunção, and the Vice-Rector of UCP, Fr José Manuel Almeida.
