Programmes at Católica Porto Business School retain accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

The programmes of Católica Porto Business School are still included in the international accreditation of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), recently renewed by Universidade Católica Portuguesa. This is one of the most prestigious international accreditations in the area of management, granted only to about 6% of the teaching institutions in this scientific area, worldwide.

The School thus revalidates its position at a global level, being part of a very restricted group of less than 1.5% of business schools with EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System, of the European Foundation for Management Development), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and AACSB accreditation distinctions.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the world's largest business school accrediting agency, connecting faculty, students, and business to achieve a common goal: creating the next generation of leaders. The accreditation process is based on a rigorous international assessment to ensure its mission in promoting engagement, accelerating innovation and expanding the impact of management education.

According to the Dean of Católica Porto Business School, Rui Soucasaux Sousa "this recognition independently attests to the excellence of the School's activities in research, teaching and impact on society. The evaluation panel highlighted several areas of excellence of the School, including, among others, the strategic focus on research; a values-based teaching that is strongly recognised by employers; the students' learning experience; and the strong commitment of companies and stakeholders to the School."

The AACSB assessment additionally covered the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics which was also recognised by this international agency. In Portugal, Católica Porto Business School and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics are two of the only three schools whose programmes have triple accreditation.
