Projeto Vida volunteers dynamise the "Discussion and Citizenship Group"

Carolina Teixeira and Inês Graça, volunteers of the Projeto VIDA - Volunteering at Católica, dynamised the "Discussion and Citizenship Group", in the Aproximar Oeiras Programme, of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Oeiras.

The Social and Cultural Communication students presented, in this discussion group, content on Trusted News vs. Fake News and mediated the discussion of current themes and news, with the support of the Aproximar Oeiras Programme's team.

Aproximar Oeiras is a Programme of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Oeiras to combat isolation and loneliness. This programme was created with the aim of deconstructing the notion of ageing, breaking the paradox that growing old is a process made up only of difficulties and limitations.

The emphasis is on opportunities for a life with greater health, participation, personal goals and satisfying relationships, restoring a new sense of purpose to the lives of each person, and integrating the contribution of an entire community.
