Several Escola das Artes' films selected for Indielisboa
The Escola das Artes (EA) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa once again has a large participation in one of the biggest Portuguese film festivals. This time, at Indielisboa which runs from August 21st to September 6th. The EA students are present at the Novíssimos and IndieJúnior competitions ant at the Fundo de Apoio ao Cinema, where projects from EA teachers and alumni also compete.
In the Novíssimos competition, dedicated to school films and first films, there are two EA productions: Party Tattoos, graduation project by Teresa Sandeman, and Eventide, a film that Vasco Trabulo Bäuerle made in the first year of the Master's in Cinema. The project had already been presented at the Support Fund in 2020. In the IndieJúnior competition, dedicated to cinema for young people and children, there is the film Nothing is Lost, graduation project by Leonor Faria Henriques.
In the Cinema Support Fund 2021, a complementary initiative to support the post-production of Portuguese films, in which EA is once again a partner, Um Longo Fim-de-Semana, project of the second-year student in Master in Cinema Sérgio Roo, will be presented out of competition. The Fund's competition will also include Aos dezasseis, by EA professor Carlos Lobo, and Saturno, by EA alumni André Guiomar and Luís Costa. Both films were produced by the producers Olhar de Ulisses and Cimbalino Filmes, both founded by an EA alumni.

If birthdays are celebration, cake and candles, they are also a ritual of image production that we archive in the expectation of meeting again in posterity. This film is a short documentary about the re-encounter with these images. What they revealed, and surprisingly, the thoughts they provoked.
