Uniservitate Award - Católica receives Honorable Mention with the "Empowering to Protect"

The project Empower to Protect of the Nursing School, in Lisbon, of the Institute of Health Sciences received an honorable mention, reinforcing UCP's commitment to the Learning-Service methodology (ApS).

The UNISERVITATE Award sought to promote quality Learning-Service practices carried out by Catholic Higher Education Institutions, recognising experiences that represent effective contributions to the solution of socio-environmental problems, identified and addressed in solidarity with organisations and members of the community.

The ApS methodology is part of the pedagogical innovation and social responsibility lines in which UCP has been investing, thus reinforcing its vocation of intervention in society, whether through the professionals it trains or the work it develops in partnership with multiple interlocutors, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Empower to Protect project is part of the CApS project: Catholic University and Learning-Service: Innovation and Social Responsibility, which started in January 2020 involving the 4 campuses of the University.
