Universidade Católica awards Angela Merkel an honorary doctorate

The Universidade Católica Portuguesa will award the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany between 2005 and 2021. 

The ceremony will take place on 9 July at 3pm in the Cardinal Medeiros Auditorium in Lisbon. The Laudatio will be delivered by His Excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic.
