The Observatory of Universidade Católica Portuguesa's CESOP-Local presents the Good Practice of the first Smart City in the Algarve.

The "Smartcity:Lagoa Project" will be presented in the June Edition of the Innovation & Local Development Seminar Cycle, that will take place on Thursday 24th June, at 3 p.m.

The event will count with the presence of Mário Guerreiro, Town Councillor of Lagoa, responsible for the areas of Communication and Image, Vehicles and Machinery Park, Information Technology, Toponymy; Rogério Campos Rebelo, University Professor, Researcher Specialist in the area of Internet of Things, LPWAN technologies and Industry 4. 0; and Rui Mesquita, Expert in Network Management and Smart Cities, Coordinator of "Smartcity Lagoa", who will address the topics of Digital Transition, Intelligent Data Analysis, Monitoring, Trust, Integration and Transparency.

The "Smartcity: Lagoa Project" of the Municipality of Lagoa, has the mission to promote the development and production of innovative urban solutions, in an integrated manner, with a view to structuring the offer and its valorisation in the national and international markets; to enhance the participation of companies in the region in the smart cities market and affirm the image of the Municipality as a space for design, production and experimentation of products and services for Smart Cities.
