FCH student is one of the winners of the MIND competition

Early this year Caritas launched a contest for young university students, motivating them to write an opinion piece on The Challenges of Living in a Common Home. In the midst of a pandemic, some students of the Undergraduate Program in Social and Cultural Communication Studies accepted this challenge.

Under the guidance of Professor Inês Espada Vieira in the scope of the Portuguese Language II course, students submitted their essays. Now the winners nationwide have been announced and among them is Beatriz Fardilha, who reflects in her text on the concept of a "common home", focusing on the importance of human relations, the care we all owe this "home", and the challenges that the pandemic has brought and which only solidarity can address.

The essay is available here.
