Macanese students attend Portuguese language and culture program at FCH

For three weeks, 25 students from Macau will attend the Portuguese language and culture summer program organized by Católica Languages & Translation.

The students arrived in Portugal on July 10 and will stay in Lisbon until July 31. They will spend three weeks getting to know the Portuguese language and culture, in courses such as Portuguese Language, Portuguese Culture, History of Portugal, Portuguese Music and Cinema and Portuguese Contemporary Art.

But they won't just get to know Portugal in the classroom. Many off-campus activities are scheduled and, in addition to visits to places of interest in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, such as the Oceanarium, MAAT, Belém, Cascais, Sintra, among other places, they will travel around Portugal, visiting cities such as Porto, Óbidos, Nazaré, Tróia, Évora, Coimbra and Alcobaça, among other cities.

The aim of this program is to give students from Macau, who have Portuguese language classes in their country, a taste of Portugal.
