Researcher of CECC publishes essay in Diacrítica magazine

The researcher of Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Cultura (CECC), Prof. Adriana Martins, developed the essay with the title "When the file vomits Salazar. Representations of women in contemporary Portuguese cinema". Under the theme "WOMANART - Women, Arts and Dictatorship: The Cases of Portugal, Brazil and Portuguese-Speaking African Countries", the essay discusses some film representations of Portuguese women in the Estado Novo, from a selection of films by contemporary Portuguese directors who use public and private memories and different archive materials to question the public representation of the dictatorship.

The publication, inserted in volume 34, number 2, of Diacrítica magazine, published by the University of Minho, can be consulted here.
