Researchers from Católica are among the best in Portugal according to ranking by Research.com
Manuela Pintado, Célia M. Manaia, Paula Teixeira and Paula M. L. Castro, researchers and professors of the Faculty of Biotechnology of Universidade Católica are among the best in Portugal according to the 1st edition of the ranking "Best Biology and Biochemistry Scientists in Portugal" by Research.com
In 23rd place is Manuela Pintado, Director of the Centre of Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry, and Célia Manaia is distinguished with the 28th place in the ranking. Paula Teixeira is in 31st place in the list of recognised researchers, while Paula M. L. Castro, Director of the Faculty of Biotechnology, is in 39th place in the ranking.
Célia Manaia, Paula Teixeira and Manuela Pintado had already been highlighted by Stanford University in the list "World's Top 2% Scientists 2022", so the result in the Research.com ranking reinforces and recognises the excellence of the research at Universidade Católica.
The ranking of researchers in Biology and Biochemistry was prepared based on data from published papers as well as citation metrics, collected from various sources, such as OpenAlex and CrossRef, dated December 6, 2021.
