Universidade Católica takes part in Transform4Europe activities in Poland

A delegation from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) is in Katowice, Poland, representing the institution in various activities of the Transform4Europe Alliance (T4EU), from 21 to 25 October

The group includes the Rector of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, the Vice-Rector Peter Hanenberg, the director of T4EU at UCP Francisco Mendes-Palma, and eight collaborators responsible for various areas, from research to doctoral teaching, including communication and alumni relations.

Also present are six students from Católica, including the two representatives on the T4EU Student Council, Beatriz Bernardes and Isabel Cura, and students from various study cycles at the Faculty of Human Sciences, the Institute of Political Studies and the Institute of Management and Health Organisations.

The students are attending T4EU Week courses, which include topics such as legal aspects of gender equality, cybersecurity and English for science.

The Rector and Vice-Rector, together with staff, are taking part in the Alliance 's Strategic Assembly and the Conference on University Policies. The staff are also representing the university at the progress meetings of the different T4EU working groups.

On 22 October, the UCP team organised the Global Partnership Forum, an event that brought together stakeholders from outside the Alliance to discuss the importance of sustainable water management and multidisciplinary partnerships.

At the same time, the University of Silesia in Katowice is organising various cultural activities, such as concerts, visits to museums and the city, and workshops on cooking, mental health and soft skills.
