Main Objective:
To develop concerted strategies to promote pedagogical innovation in Higher Education (HE), based on the excellence/inclusion binomial, exploring synergies and complementarities that emerge from the inherent diversity of the consortium, driving dialogue between polytechnic and university education, rural and urban contexts, and between the interior and the coast.

Objectives:
Through the INOV-NORTE project — Center of Excellence in Pedagogical Innovation in the North Region, six higher education institutions (HEIs) in consortium (IESC) are joining efforts to promote the decentralization of pedagogical innovation and modernization initiatives in Portuguese Higher Education. Led by the University of Porto, the consortium also includes the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, and the Porto School of Nursing, mobilizing an academic community with over ninety thousand students.

Objectives | The present project aims to establish the Católica Learning Innovation Lab (CLIL) as a privileged "space" to experiment and test innovative pedagogical approaches. This is done by using interdisciplinary collaboration that brings together the academic community and relevant partners from the outside community. The goal is to help promote significant learning and the development of critical competences that will enable students' adaptability in contexts of uncertainty.

Objectives | Católica in!" aims to promote students' integration and academic success at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), particularly emphasizing the first year of higher education. It proposes four actions oriented towards developing tutoring and mentoring mechanisms, complete (360°) empowerment of at-risk students, and more flexible integration of the various institutional measures underway at the UCP.
