As part of the seminar ‘Citizenship, democracy and reformism’, the Centre of Religious History Studies is organising the session ‘In the name of God and the proletariat: Setubal's Catholic resistance to the dictatorship’, with the participation of Alberico Afonso (ESE-IPS | IHC-NOVA FCSH), on April 10 at 5pm, in a hybrid format.
The Citizenship, Democracy and Reform Seminar has been taking place since 2022 as part of the research project ‘25 April: permanences, ruptures and recompositions’ and will be active until 2026. Its aims are: to study the problem of ‘25 April, permanences, ruptures and recompositions’, seeking to take stock of the history 50 years on: what is known and what is not known; to promote meetings and encourage common reflection between researchers in the field of Contemporary Religious History; to allow new research to be presented.
