Researchers from the Mind, Brain and Education group publish in the journal Frontiers in Pshychology
Looking for the Brain Inside the Initial Teacher Training and Outreach Books in Portugal was the study developed by professors Alexandre Castro Caldas and Joana Rato and PhD student in Cognition and Language Sciences, Jorge Amorim. These researchers are from the Mind, Brain and Education working group of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
This paper, published in Frontiers in Psychology, finds that in the reference courses in initial teacher training, there are no curricular units that mirror the presence of current neuroscientific knowledge and, on the other hand, books on these topics have increased in recent years.
