The VIDA Project is aimed at students of all levels of education at the Católica Headquarters campus who wish to volunteer. The volunteering activities available are as diverse as the partner institutions, from study support to fundraising campaigns, rubbish collection or meal distribution. There are already more than 360 students signed up, but applications are still open. Learn more here.

Six volunteers from the VIDA Project - Volunteering at Católica collaborated in the campaign to collect goods for the institution Apoio à Vida, with the aim of ensuring basic necessities for babies. Apoio à Vida is one of the partners of the VIDA Project and develops its activities in the area of support to pregnant women in difficulty at all levels (psychological, social, educational and labour market insertion).

The protocol formalised the commitment established between the AAHSM and the UCP, foreseeing the integration of volunteers from the VIDA Project - Volunteering at Católica, in Santa Maria Hospital for the development of various volunteering actions. 

The Letter, a film that tells the story of the Encyclical Laudato Sí' collects testimonies from various climate activists and has Pope Francis himself as the main star.

Service-Learning is a teaching methodology that combines academic learning with service to the community so that students are trained personally and professionally by working with the real needs of the community. This methodology values the active participation of students and community members and reflection on the experience.

In the 1st edition of The Newman Benchmark Framework on Social Responsibility, of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), UCP was distinguished with 4 labels, among which it received 2 labels with the maximum rating (3 stars) in the areas of governance and social practices.
